City Council Meeting, 5/12/08
Ordinance 31-2008
"Tremont Road Rezoning"

Excerpts from previous sessions ...

"Tremont Rezoning" concerns the residential-to-commercial rezoning of two properties on Tremont Road just north of the "5-Corners" at Kingsdale.

In order for a rezoning to be possible, all 7 of the U.D.O. (Unified Development Ordinance) criteria must be met, with the burden of proof resting with the applicant.  Click the picture at left to see those seven criteria.

Excerpts from just a few of the resident speakers.

Mr. Cordero, speaking to the terms of the Master Plan and the Unified Development Code.

Mr. Merullo, summarizing the reasons given by those who oppose Tremont Rezoning.

Dr. Lucey, MD, speaking of the inappropriateness of the site for a medical office, and to the "fuzzy numbers" provided by city staff.

Mr. McCormick, speaking to the role of the Master Plan and UDO in decision making.

Ms. Kerman, speaking to the incorrect and conflicting data used by city staff to justify the rezoning.

Two appraisers addressing Council.

Mr. Horner, an appraiser speaking
at the request of the developer.

Mr. Berger, the appraiser hired by the opponents.

Mr. Becker, Attorney, refuting Mr. Horner's opinion.

Let's compare the numbers in their reports.
